NS looked all textured and messed up this morning. Actually checked The Gap at the cliffs first and it looked even more messed up so we (Jeff (pictured left from a February surf trip)) and I headed up to the Pier to check the north side. He knew I was getting in no matter what so he suited up and we paddled out. The water was no where close to warm but it wasn't 54 anymore either, just a balmy 57. It felt much better than yesterday however.
After being out for about a half hour our unmistakably big haired friend Steve (pictured below from aforementioned surf trip) was seen on the beach getting ready to paddle out.
The sets had enough juice to overtake the texture and give some fun rides. I had one shoulder high + left that peeled for a long ways (at least by HB standards). Got three decent top turns on it causing the ever stoked Steve to claim for me as I pulled out the back 200 yards down the beach. A few other fun ones came through and Jeff was killing it
