Back on

After a two day hiatus (one by choice one forced by a dead battery) I was back on it this morning. It was kinda small, cold and bumpy. Luckily the surf picked up, if only a little bit. Caught a few waves that I stood up on, but had no push whatsoever. Caught one decent one at the end that I was at least able to get a turn on.

When I got in my friend Jeff was in the parking lot laughing at the fact that I got in such pathetic conditions...again.

One other note: Surf Kayaker in the water was totally lame, hogging whatever few decent sized waves came through. I mean seriously, do you have to use your paddles to get every wave in a three wave set thereby leaving us hand paddlers to scrap for the tweeners? I don't get worked up in the water too much but this guy has been out twice this week and his behavior left a lot to be desired. If the conditions get good and he paddles out there and pulls that crap it will get interesting. The normal crew won't put up with it.
