Bolsa Chica

I checked the cliffs early this morning and the current looked horrible. Agro Rob was in the parking lot and I asked him how it was and his reply was "on the second drift it seemed like the waves were getting better, there were more corners." Second drift means that he was getting out and walking back south down the beach. The waves looked head high and closed out for the most part. I watched for a while and didn't see anyone get any waves that remotely made it look like the effort was worth it. I took some pics because there were some 6'+ BOMBs coming through but I didn't catch anything great on film. I'll post them later if I get the time.

I headed just north about 1/4 mile to Bolsa Chica where it was 2-3' and crowded up with 9' boards. I got in and got a few. It was a frustrating experience though with all of those huge boards cherry picking waves waaaaaay outside. Half the people out were totally clueless too making sitting inside waiting for something with shape come through a precarious endeavor. I ended up getting a few anyway.
