Peaky Cliffs

Surfed the cliffs this morning. It was peaky steep and fast 2-3' and still plenty of current but I was able to maintain my position through incessant paddling. Got a few fun ones, went over the falls on a couple and all in all had a good session.
Found a good strategy for dealing with the crowds. With the substantial N current we (Mullet Mike, agro Rob and I) paddled out just N of a contest zone. Paddled constantly. Anyone South of us drifting North had to get out because of the contest, anyone North of us couldn't paddle against the current to get to us and in fact most of those who paddled out where we were would eventually drift northward leaving our peak. It was kinda nice surfing with friends, even if my arms are completely rubber now.
Hopefully they recover in the next couple of hours so I can get my second session.
