I surf alone

Surfed 36th street in newport. Waves were fast and peaky. The water was sooooooooo cold. I really had a hard time getting my wave and wasn't really into it. If the water was warmer or my body wasn't so beat up I probably would have really enjoyed it because it was waist to shoulder high peaky glassy and hollow. But as it was I struggled to get a wave even though I was surfing all by myself for about 45 minutes. A rarity in newport, especially when the waves are working...which they were.
Maybe I'll get the patagonia suit out for tomorrow, take a few alieve as soon as I wake up and then I may be able to take advantage of the conditions.
